Book of Revelation: A Glimpse of Christ’s Second Coming (1:8-20)

The greatest thing any Christian will ever see, when he/she reaches the portal of heaven, will be the person of Jesus Christ. John, though, is commanded in the opening verses of Revelation to write down what he sees and it managed to terrify him. The Son of Man with white hair, eyes as a flame of fire, and a sword proceeding out of his mouth, along with a booming voice. The scene, however, is mitigated by the Lord, as he comforts John to let him know that the “Living One” is the loving One and to continue writing what he sees. That the One standing in midst of the churches is the same one who is graciously letting John know He is about to come and that He has as message for all the church leaders that needs to be passed on for everyone to be ready.
