That’s right. CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) and the Muslim Brotherhood have been officially declared to be terrorist/criminal organizations by Texas Governor Greg Abbott.

It’s been a long time coming, but one has to wonder why now?
After all Abbott is up for re-election in November 2026.
Could this be the reason?
If so, shame on him parading this out for public consumption.
Because unless he follows it up with indictments and prosecutions, then he will be misleading Texans, as well as Americans.
Just an FYI, there are 210 mosques and Islamic centers in America, and CAIR has already been declared an “unindicted co-conspirator” in the Holy Land Foundation Trial back in 2008.
Texas also has the largest Muslim population in America.
Unless Abbott plans on eliminating Islam’s presence in Texas, then declaring CAIR and the MB as terrorist/criminal organizations is like declaring the sky is blue on a sunny day a profound revelation.
Frankly, I see this going nowhere and totally pointless.
The only way to combat and defeat Islam is with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
And right now, there are way too many who have no clue what that is, much less how to defend it, and yet they claim to be “Christians.”
So, trying to defeat Islam, long after it has established roots in Texas, by secular/government mandate appears to be more for show than reality.
