Do the Mormons Really Believe in the Bible?

For the past month or so I have spent a considerable amount of time delving into the question of whether or not the Mormons, or members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (as they now like to “officially” calls themselves), believe in the Bible.

Of course, they claim that they do. The organization has even produced videos to bolster the claim.

But, the more I looked into answering the question, it became clear to me that the evidence did not support their affirmations.

So, I set forth and produced a seven-part series dealing with the question covering such topics as belief from the Old and New Testaments, what the Book of Mormon had to say about the Bible, what the Mormon leadership asserted about the Bible, and the creation of the Joseph Smith Translation.

All tolled, the videos comprise two hours, nineteen minutes, and 44 seconds of refutation of a claim that too many take for granted when looking at Mormonism through the rose-colored, public relations arm of the Mormon Church.

Those videos are now posted here and on the Christian Apologetics Project YouTube channel.

The Mormons do not believe in the Bible, much less do they believe the Bible. The Bible and the Mormon testimony prove it.

It simply becomes a matter of whether or not the evidence is accepted over the emotively driven claims.
