Tomorrow is the Fourth of July; a day when all Americans celebrate their independence as a free people.
Now, let’s blow away the haze of all those fireworks and think about this just a little and see just how independent and free Americans truly are.
Politically, we have a sitting President who has an unprecedented disdain for America, as is evidenced by his continued circumvention of the Constitution.
He lies with impunity, and has repeatedly engaged in acts of treason and tyranny, that if an average citizen would have done the same, would be now sitting in federal prison.
Our elected officials, who are supposed to represent (not ignore) their constituents, are afraid of the President, and seem only more interested in conserving themselves rather than conserving the said Constitution.
Therefore, rather than remove him from office, everyone suffers beneath his dictatorship, as he systematically destroys America from within.
Morally, the U.S. Supreme Court took it upon itself the role of legislators rather than interpreters of the Constitution by making legal what was once illegal: homosexual sodomy.
With such immoral idiocy, now come reports of the polygamists stepping up to the plate and wanting their sickness recognized as legal as well.
Next will be the rapists, child molesters, and those who want to get their jollies with Dolly.
And if the Supreme Court judges are consistent, which they have not always been, then not only will the polygamists receive legal sanction, so will murderers, thieves, and crooks of every walk of life.
Economically, the United States has exceeded $18 trillion in foreign debt.
That means that each and every U.S. citizen (men, women, and children) now owe someone in the world approximately $56,950 a piece.
Add to that the fact that Americans are nearly a trillion dollars in credit card debt, over a trillion dollars in debt on student loans, and over $13 trillion dollars in debt on mortgages, and only those totally blinded by all the red would fail to acknowledge, “The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower the lender’s slave” (Prov. 22:7).
Legally, with the recent SCOTUS (Supreme Court of the United States) decision on homosexuality, it has basically sent a message to all Americans that we are no longer a country guided by law.
Many have a conniption over bullying in our schools, but when it comes to bullying the majority into baking a cake, that is now legal, as tyrannical as it really is.
A more recent example of just how far askew our legal system has gone was seen in Oklahoma with the removal of the Ten Commandments from its capitol, but most likely only because a Satanic bunch was using bully-tactics to place its tawdry piece alongside the only thing which gives law any objectivity.
The Bible makes it clear that, “Where there is no vision,” of God’s law, “the people are unrestrained” or “perish,” (Prov. 29:18).
When the Oklahoma justices ordered the removal of the Ten Commandments, they signed their own death warrant, as well as all the people under their jurisdiction.
Socially, the mob mentality is being embraced as the means to get one’s way, regardless of how stupid or irrational the demands or actions might be.
So, whether it’s rioting in Ferguson or the media ganging up on someone to smear that person before the public, the ends justifies the means.
After all, our “rights,” as determined by us, are all that matter; nothing else.
It is a “tactic” that the late social deviant, Saul Alinsky, advocated as a way where “the Have-Nots can take power away from the Haves.”
Alinsky was the social deviant that the current President of the U.S. is taking his cue from to run the country or more like run it down.
Educationally, even the most politically left-leaning elements in American society admit how much in decline America has become, and that, in part, because there is very little, if no, discipline in our public schools.
Why, only yesterday, a local television news station reported on the number students, not parents, who were complaining about the lack of discipline in the classroom.
Of course, lack of discipline is not all that is contributing to the dumbing-down of Americans, particularly when those who have never been teachers are writing the curriculum.
Back in 1933, Christian educator and scholar J. Gresham Machen wrote the following about centralized education and how it had a detrimental effect then.
The study of education seems to be regarded as absolving a teacher from obtaining any knowledge of the subject that he is undertaking to teach. And the pupils are being told, in effect, that the simple storing up in the mind of facts concerning the universe and human life is a drudgery from which they have now been emancipated; they are being told, in other words, that the great discovery has been made in modern times that it is possible to learn how to “think” with a completely empty mind. It cannot be said that the result is impressive. In fact, the untrammeled operation of the effects of this great America pedogogic [sic] discovery is placing American schools far behind the schools of the rest of the civilized world.
Eighty-two years later, and things have only become far worse.
Spiritually, the United States is a veritable hodge-podge of conflicted messages about “God,” most of which are rooted in lies and deception, and a biblically illiterate citizenry that is too apathetic and careless to stand up and say, “Enough is enough!”
The result of such confusion has been to target Christians and Christianity and attempt to eradicate both from the public arena of thought and discussion.
Tolerance, diversity, and multiculturalism are trumpeted as virtues, except when it comes to tolerating the “Good News” of God’s grace through Jesus’ sacrifice for the world’s sins.
That will not be tolerated!
That is too exclusive and does not fit in with all the other messages of peace, harmony, and kumbya.
Such a message undermines multiculturalism; it does not sustain it.
Worse yet, too many Christian pastors and leaders have allowed such diabolism to intimidate them into being less than shepherds of the God of heaven and more into servants of the god of this world.
So, there you have it, one day before Independence Day, the Fourth of July.
America: the land of the “free,” as its people slip further and further into political, moral, economic, legal, social, educational, and spiritual darkness and bondage.
