In case you missed it, which I’m pretty sure you did not, last night Israel finally had enough of Iran’s posturing, sneering, and threats of nuclear annihilation.
Israel flew wave after wave of warplanes into Iran and not only destroyed much of its nuclear missile-building capability, but killed some high-level military leadership and nuclear scientists as well.
A friend of mine texted me to ask, “Are we going to have WWIII?”
I responded with, “I think Iran was pushing for that anyway. It sounds like Israel has kind of short-circuited that effort,” at least for a while.
What I found curious is that the U.S. Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, said that the US had no role in what Israel did.
Nonsense.
The reason being that Israel would not be able to protect itself from hostile countries, like Iran, without U.S. weaponry, intelligence, and simply military intervention.
So, of course, the U.S. had a role in kicking Iran’s terrorist butt last night, and it should not apologize for doing it either.
That said, the destruction is only temporary, as the feud between Israel and its Ishmaelian (my neologism) brothers has been ongoing for several thousand years, and they will continue until the Lord returns and puts an end to it all.
Until then, Iran will rebuild, Muslim hostility toward Israel and the rest of the “infidel” world will grow more intense, but worst of all, the US will continue its gradual decline in Israeli support, as Americans drift further and further away from God.
When Israel loses its U.S. support, that will subject her to invasion, not nuclear destruction, as what is feared most by many.
That will culminate in what John saw in Revelation 16:12-ff, where the “kings of the whole world…assemble for the battle on the great day of God Almighty.”
The U.S., in other words, will turn on Israel and be a part of that invasion and subsequent battle against the Lord.
For now, though, we’re merely witnessing a brief foreshadow of things to come.
It’s going to get worse.
Here’s hoping you’re ready.
