Ministers of Another Kind

Are you as fed up as I am with what you’re hearing at church these days.

Men, who supposedly have been appointed by God to proclaim the whole counsel of God, have become rank amateurs of biblical study and worse yet, men of misfit opinions, like those heard on radio and television.

We don’t need more flawed opinions stoked by the events of the day.

We need ministers of another kind, or the biblical kind, who will stand and authoritatively proclaim what God has to say from His book.

For unless we hear from God, and then commit to doing or obeying what God demands or commands of us, then we’re all doomed to the consequences of our follies.

What some are calling “post-Christianity,” the Bible calls apostasy.

And from apostasy comes lawlessness, which given all that we’re seeing the world today, is rampant.

Lawlessness breeds lovelessness, and lovelessness breeds apathy and contempt.

God help us see the need to “preach the word; be ready in season and out of season.”

Help us to “reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.”

“For the time is coming,” if it is not already here, “when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.”
