Leadership in the Southern Baptist Convention has lost its collective mind.
Most recently in New Jersey, the SBC, along with the International Mission Board, as well as The National Association of Evangelicals (not SBC), decided to jump into the fray of battling a local township (Bernards) over whether to allow the building of an Islamic mosque.
The battle between Basking Ridge, New Jersey officials and the mosque’s founder, Dr. Mohammad Ali Chaudry, started some four years ago with the purchase of a four-acre parcel of land and the proposal to raise the house on the property and construct a mosque that looked like houses in the surrounding neighborhood.
After a series of council hearings, and Chaudry jumping through numerous bureaucratic hoops—including all kinds of negative input from the citizens of Basking Ridge—the building permit was denied.
Chaudry, who is President of the Islamic Society of Basking Ridge proceeded to file a federal lawsuit that claimed his civil rights were discriminated against. That lawsuit is now pending trial.
The real rub in all of this is not the willingness to stand up for what is legally right. The real rub is the SBC’s apparent ignorance of just what it is standing for in terms of who Chaudry, the Muslims, and especially the Islamic Society of Basking Ridge or ISBR are.
You see, the ISBR is a local affiliate of the Islamic Society of North America, which just happens to be a front group for the Muslim Brotherhood or one of the most notorious terrorist organizations in the world today!
Other popular MB front groups, as listed on the last of page of its Explanatory Memo, include the Muslim Student Association (MSA), North American Islamic Trust (NAIT), and the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA).
Excluded from the list, mainly because it did not exist at the time it was created, is the Council on American-Islamic Relations or CAIR. That smarmy bunch of Islamic propagandists everyone sees after an Islamist carries out another act of terror in the U.S. CAIR immediately rushes to the salivating media to hold a press conference to denounce what it has helped to fund elsewhere.
ISNA, NAIT, and CAIR all ended up on the “unindicted co-conspirator” list during the Holy Land Foundation trial held in 2008, despite efforts to have their organizations expunged from the record. The evidence was too strong which implicated them in money laundering to aid and abet Hamas, another Islamic terrorist group intent on harassing and destroying Israel.
The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) is listed as #1 on the Explanatory Memo, which demonstrates its prominence with the Ikhwan or Brotherhood.
A Chicago Tribune investigative article made it clear back in 2004, “The Islamic Society of North America, the umbrella group for the Muslim Youth of North America and the Muslim Students Association, says Brotherhood members helped form those groups but that their overall influence has been limited.”
That said, the ISNA has been instrumental in carrying out the Brotherhood’s longterm plans, part of which is found on page 7 of the Memo that spells out those plans quite clearly.
4–Understanding the role of the Muslim Brother in North America:
The process of settlement is a “Civilization-Jihadist Process” with all the word means. The Ikhwan must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and “sabotaging” its miserable house by their hand and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions. Without this level of understanding, we are not up to this challenge and have not prepared ourselves for Jihad yet. It is a Muslim’s destiny to perform Jihad and work wherever he is and wherever he lands until the final hour comes, and there is no escape from that destiny except for those who chose to slack. But, would the slackers and the Mujahedeen be equal.
According to Brent Walker, executive director of the Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty, “It’s good when we can join hands with…folks we are sometimes on the other side of.” Really? Is that something Jesus would have said? No.
Jesus said, “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves” (Mt. 7:15). Who could possibly doubt that Jesus would have considered the Muslims, the Muslim Brotherhood, or ISNA anything other than a bunch of wolves?
Jesus, in other words, never encouraged anyone to “join hands with…folks we are sometimes on the other side of.” Instead, he would have warned believers to beware of those who reject the Christian message and would turn on Christians to devour them like wolves do with sheep.
Later, Walker reportedly uttered another ungodly gaff by saying, “We really felt it was important to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our Muslim brothers and sisters.” What? Since when is a Christian stance on anything based on how he or she feels? Whatever happened to we spent our time “examining the Scripture daily, so see whether these things were so”? (Acts 17:11).
Moreover, since when is a Muslim considered a brother or sister, especially when the Muslim adamantly rejects the person of Jesus Christ, as God very God, who died on the cross to atone for sins of the believer?
What Brent Walker, and the rest of the misguided leadership of the SBC, IMB, and NAE have done by “joining hands” with this known terrorist sympathizing group is sold its very soul to the devil in order to exalt and worship the sacred cow of “religious liberty.”
They have sacrificed the truth found in the Bible for a warm fuzzy and are no more distinct from the Muslims, who believe the ends justifies the means, so long as their agenda is advanced. That, by the way, is the basis for so much of what we see in the politically correct world or Relativism 101.
Also, the SBC is no different than the rest of the pagan and anti-Christian factions who joined in on this legal effort, who no more recognize Jesus as the way, the truth, and the life than do the Muslims.
So, yes, the SBC has lost its collective mind. It is now in bed with the Islamic terrorists, complete with the effort to help them build a mosque to worship their idol and turn people into two-fold children of hell, if not simply send them there via an act of brutality the Muslims have become infamous for throughout the centuries.
That said, it now time to sever ties with the SBC. That kind of mind-numbing stupidity is simply more than any knowledgeable Christian ought to be asked to handle. Hopefully, millions of other Christians in the SBC will eventually do the same.
