Cloaked behind all the hubbub about Minnesotan’s shooting their political reps, “No Kings” day, and Israel kicking Iran’s butt all over the Middle East is “Pride Month.”
The Sodomites just cannot seem to catch a break, can they?
They block off an entire month to shove their dirty underwear in everyone’s faces and the news of the day generally has nothing to do with recognizing them.
What is the world coming to when you come out of the closet only to be courted into a corner behind murder, insurrection, and the potential for World War III?
Seriously, though, this whole pride thing with the homosexual crowd still leaves me asking, Just why should anyone take pride in being a sexual pervert?
I have asked that question several times in various Leftist forums only to have my question rejected: It violated Community Standards, you know.
Pride, in itself, is not necessarily a bad thing, unless, of course, a person develops a self-destructive attitude or behavior.
For example, to take pride in an accomplishment that honors God, family, and country is not evil, as it exalts, credits, or revels in someone or something other than the person who accomplished whatever.
It is not haughty, arrogant, or conceited, as the person humbly seeks to extol the virtue in all that brought about the success or accomplishment.
On the other hand, when I think of someone taking pride in what God has judged to be an “abomination,” not only is there no accomplishment worthy of exaltation, the end result is nothing but self-destruction, death, and hell.
That kind of pride is what is spoken of in Proverbs 16:18: “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.”
The Hebrew word for “destruction” (shever) means to “break in pieces” or “ruin” either on the personal or national level (see also Prov. 18:12).
The fall (Heb. kishshālôn) deals with calamity and/or stumbling on the way to a calamitous end.
Pride and haughtiness are synonymous in this context and are descriptive of a dishonorable, idolatrous heart.
Those infected with such “pride” are their own little gods and goddesses and will curse God and die before ever turning from their wickedness.
Such is the kind of egoism that so many in society think is worth taking a month out of the year to focus on with fawning eyes.
Yet, God has never changed his mind when it comes to homosexual sin, and that amid objections to the contrary by those who attempt to drag God and Jesus down into the same, murky, dark pit that they have hewn out for their own personal destruction.
What is interesting is that the very same people who have been compelled to “honor” the Sodomites are the same people who throw rocks at other sexual perverts.
They cannot stand the idea of a teacher, pastor, politician, or maybe even law enforcement officer sexually molesting a child, and rightfully so.
But, then they turn right around and willingly participate in a “Pride Parade” where all kinds of young
children are standing around wondering at the disgusting spectacle.
If that is not child abuse, then nothing is.
The wicked self-deception and contradiction is so obvious that only a spiritually blind person could miss it.
Such is the kind of self-deception and contradiction that accompanies homosexual “pride.”
In a way, though, maybe in God’s sovereign providence and utter disgust toward the homosexual, he has allowed much of the social interference to take place this year that otherwise has been absent.
Maybe God allowed the murders of the Minnesota reps, the “No Kings” debacle, and the pounding of Iran by Israel to take place to turn attention away from the freak shows that have paraded down too many city streets around the world during the month of June.
If so, humans ought to pay attention.
It just may be a warning sign that God has had enough of humans taking pride in the wrong things, disgusting things, perverted things.
That if we do not pay attention and mend our wicked ways, destruction (a breaking in pieces) is right around the corner.
Sodom and Gomorrah is a classic example of what God thought about their pride, when he rained on their parade with a lot of hot lava.
Do we really want to put God to the test again?
