On Friday, January 12, Illinois Senator Dick Durbin went before a liberal press and figuratively stabbed President Donald Trump in the back with all kinds of specious accusations, culminating with the attribution that Mr. Trump used an expletive to describe the country of Haiti.
Fast-forward to today and it is becoming more evident that it was Durbin himself that called Haiti the expletive, even though Trump admitted that the private conversation dealing with DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) was “tough.”
The more I thought about it, the more it seemed to me that there is no possible way anyone could support the Democrat Party and be a Christian at the same time.
Such a conclusion came about after not only listening to Durbin, but reading the Apostle Paul’s admonition to the Ephesian church, as it struggled with the old way of life versus the new life in Christ.
Paul told the Ephesians to lay aside all falsehood and speak the truth to one another (Eph. 4:25).
Listening to Durbin, and others of his philosophical stripe, they not only wallow in falsehood, but have no clue what the truth is.
Instead of admitting that Haiti and other third-world countries are “s***holes,” as Durbin put it, and that programs like DACA are antithetical to the U.S. Constitution, he and they would rather project a delusional image and argue a Socialist message that not only amount to a falsehood, but is so far wide of the truth that the end result is more impoverished and hurting people, including those in the United States.
Paul continued by telling the Ephesians to “Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give the devil an opportunity” (Eph. 4:26-27).
To stand before the cameras, like Durbin—and others have done—and rail on the President in the manner that he did, is not the evidence of someone with a heart of peace and contentment.
One can only imagine what Durbin is like away from the cameras, railing and ripping on not only the President, but anyone else who dare challenge his faulty way of thinking.
The devil not only has been given the opportunity to work through the Durbins and Democrats; he is their master!
Paul told the Ephesians, “Let him who steals steal no longer; but rather let him labor, performing with his own hands what is good, in order that he may have to share with him who has need” (Eph. 4:28).
Durbin and Democrats are all about theft, whether through excessive taxation or through the writing of Presidential edicts, like Barak Obama wrote, that steal from one class of people to give it to another class—such as DACA and the illegal aliens—and for what purpose?
So that they can elicit votes to stay in office while misleading the naive into believing that they have their best interests at hand.
Paul continued with, “Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such as is good for edification according to the need, that it may give grace to those who hear” (Eph. 4:29).
Not only did the “s***hole” expletive come from Durbin, the range of filthy, vile, putrid language that he, the Democrats, and their sycophants use on a daily basis to try to bring the President down is enough to make drunken sailors blush.
If anyone is in disbelief, just spend a few moments scanning through the thousands of Tweets on the President’s Twitter feed.
Paul encourages the Ephesians to “not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption” (Eph. 4:30).
Little do the Dick Durbins of the world realize that when he misrepresents, slanders, demeans, and rails against the President of the United States, he is also misrepresenting, slandering, demeaning, and railing against God, who exalted the President to his current position in the first place (see Romans 13:1; Ps. 75:6-7; Dan. 2:21).
Such maliciousness grieves the Holy Spirit, who is God, who is the person who seals the redeemed for the final day of redemption, of which few, if any, Democrats have a clue.
Paul then goes on to instruct the Ephesians, “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice” (Eph. 4:31).
As already mentioned previously, when Durbin went before the cameras to defame the President, he was only revealing what he is really all about.
Durbin and the Democrats are embittered, wrathful, angry, clamorous, slanderous, and malicious little trolls, who when they cannot get their way, throw temper-tantrums to the degree that they would rather implement a “scorched earth” strategy than contribute something positive for the advancement of the truth.
Finally, Paul wrote to the Ephesians, “And be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you” (Eph. 4:32).
There is nothing kind about Democratic-Socialism. It is a failed, humanistic philosophy that attempts to mimic biblical communism (see Acts 2:44-ff.) without biblical guidance.
There is nothing tender-hearted about slandering the President. Slander is a demonic attribute modeled after the chief slanderer himself, the devil, which means “slander.”
The Democratic-Socialist policies of the Dick Durbins, Nancy Pelosies, Chuck Shumers, et al, are all extremely unforgiving. A classic example of this is the National Debt. The U.S. is so far into debt, now, that it will never pay back its lenders.
Above all, Democratic-Socialism is ungodly. If anyone dares to mention the Bible, God, Jesus Christ, sin, et cetera, in reference to governance and policy-making, and defend them from the biblical worldview, those in the Democratic-Socialist camp mock, deride, and attempt to shout-down those holding that position.
Therefore, it is not difficult to conclude that anyone who claims to be a Christian Democrat or that a person can be a Democrat and a Christian at the same time is promoting an oxymoron.
An oxymoron is “a figure of speech in which opposite or contradictory ideas or terms are combined” (Webster’s New World Collegiate Dictionary, p. 1045).
Democratic-Socialism and Biblical Christianity are antithetical to each other, with Dick Durbin and his railing on the President being the latest instance where that truism is evident.
