Paul Derengowski, ThM
And then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming (2 Thess. 2:8).
The solution to all of the lawlessness facing humanity is Jesus Christ.
Of course, in a our day and age of narcissism, skepticism, and nihilism, when anyone presents Jesus as the solution, mockery and derision typically follow.
Worse yet, too many who claim to be Christians are ashamed of Jesus as the solution for anything, much less lawlessness accompanied by lying, cheating, stealing, and murder.
It is why our city, county, state, and federal agencies are filled with and controlled by morons who are both figuratively and literally getting away with murder and that at taxpayer’s expense.
It is why the U.S. educational system is turning out generation after generation of morons who believe they are entitled to everything they feel is worthy, but they are exempt from equally contributing to all the entitlements that others demand.
It is why the U.S. justice system hands down erratic sentences and police officer’s hands are regularly tied by socialist bureaucrats whose sole interest is to undermine the law, not uphold it.
It is why, one day, there will be a lawless dictator, who will rule, not only the United States, but the whole world.
The only person capable of overcoming all the worldly lawlessness is the person of Jesus.
Those abiding in Jesus are capable of doing the same.
It is not a religious cliché. It is not pie-in-the-sky wishful thinking. It is the absolute truth.
Jesus said, “I am the way.”
Jesus said, “I am the truth.”
Jesus said, “I am the life.”
Those who seek to establish law and order, yet fail to include Jesus in the discussion, are nothing more than moronic anarchists.
Those who seek an explanation for all of the corruption, mayhem, and murder that victimize humanity on a daily basis, and yet fail to include Jesus in the discussion, as the solution, are nothing more than accomplices and contributors to the same corruption, mayhem, and murder.
Those who seek peace with God, and yet fail to go through the person of Jesus, as the one mediator between God and man, are nothing more than religious idolaters who want to equate themselves with God, as gods.
Jesus is coming and will destroy the man of lawlessness, along with everyone who shares in his lawless deeds.
While it would be in everyone’s best interest to acknowledge that reality, the vast majority will simply poo-poo on it, and proceed to repeat the same nonsense all over again, resulting in more bondage and death.
