And the Word was Divine?

Mormon apologist, Dr. Daniel McClellan, is at it, again, pushing his heretical agenda, sputtering lies and misrepresentations, this time in reference to John 1:1c.

John 1:1 is a classic text that presents Jesus as God, very God, stating, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

It is the last clause that Dr. McClellan, in Mormon, cult-like fashion has decided to abuse by rendering it, “and the Word was divine.”

There is no grammatical or syntactical precedent for him to make such a rendering, but he sure wants his followers to think that his Modalistic argument seems plausible.

So, I chose to spend a few minutes destroying his long-since refuted notion by showing that there is no reputable English translation, nor reputable Greek translator, that would go along with his mistranslation and misinterpretation.
