The neologism Islamophobia is bandied about these days usually with the goal of stifling substantive discussion about the wiles of Islamic history of doctrine. It is “hate speech” that needs to be suppressed, since no one should engage in blasphemy against Islam, Allah, or his prophet—at least so argues those committed to utilizing the thought-stopper as an Islamic defense.
But lately, the real “Islamophobes” are not the typical targets of the ad hominem—persons such as Robert Spencer, Gert Wilders, or Tommy Robinson—but those members of the Democratic Party, headed up by Nancy Pelosi, as they tremble in fear over what to do with Democratic colleague, Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and her anti-Semitic, Islamic rants.
Omar is one of two Islamists recently elected to Congress who are hell-bent on not only trashing the Jews, but on impeaching President Donald Trump, as well, who is a fearless ally of Israel. The other “radical Muslim” is Rashida Tlalib (D-MI).
The Islamophobia demonstrated by Pelosi and the Democrats is obvious: instead of condemning Omar and her trash-talk, she and they have backed off addressing her directly and chosen to muddy the political waters by condemning all forms of “hate speech,” which would include anything spoken or written negatively about Islam.
Rather than passing a resolution condemning anti-Semitism, specifically, the Democrats are now more forgiving and understanding of Omar’s position, as even Nancy Pelosi quipped that she “did not believe she [Omar] understood the full weight of [her] words.” Really? The Jew-hating Muslim with 1,400 years of history on her side coupled with a book that equates the Jews with monkeys and pigs (Koran 5:60; 7:166); she did not understand her own words?
How about Nancy and the Democratic gang do not understand what Omar and Tlaib are doing to circumvent the country by cowering and then tolerating the Islamic demands to condemn Israel’s existence, which has been a goal of the Islamists since the day the Jews returned to Israel in 1948?
How about Nancy and the Democratic gang suffer from the very Islamophobia that they wish to forbid in their watered-down resolution that will only foment further hatred of the Jews, as the Democrats stand by and do nothing to thwart it?
Surely, if Omar and the pro-Islamic terrorists have instilled terror into the hearts of the believers (Koran 8:12, 60), it is now, as they continue to slowly take-over a Democratic Party that is ripe for the picking. The only thing lacking amid the terror is the hacking off of the heads.
Nevertheless, it is nice to know who the true Islamophobes are. As least the term makes some valid sense now.
