God Gave Us Joe

Whether most Americans agree or not, Almighty God gave them Joe Biden to be their leader, as much as it makes me cringe to write that.

It’s not that he’s a great leader, because he’s not.

It’s not that he’s the smartest person to have ever graced the White House, because he’s not.

In fact, most of the time Joe Biden is not even mentally cognizant of where he’s at or what he’s doing.

It’s that God establishes all the leaders, whatever they might be, for certain tasks for certain people, to rule in His kingdom at certain times.

And when it comes to America, and how she has turned her back on God, I can’t help but think of what the Apostle Paul wrote to the Roman Christians in his day, when he reflected upon the lost man, who had naturally turned his back on God, as well.

Paul wrote, “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth” (Rom 1:18).

We live in a nation of liars and cheaters.

As long as lying and cheating are allowed to go unpunished, even though God hates it, and has revealed as much (Prov 6:16-19), then He will keep on appointing feckless leaders who approve of all the ungodliness.

That is, until all the lying and cheating comes to a head, and God finally has had enough of all the unrighteous suppression of the truth and He passes judgment.

Then will come all the whining, wailing, whimpering from all the liars and cheaters who will falsely assume they deserve much, much better.

In short, Joe Biden is God’s revelation or response to all the ungodliness and righteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth.

God is talking to us, but, we’re not listening.

Eventually, we will, one way or another.
