Are Extra-Terrestrials Really that Intelligent?

In the previous two articles I discussed the fact that humans are not alone in the universe.

I explained that not only does the existence of God preclude human loneliness, but that God had created others creatures, namely angels, by the “thousands upon thousands” and that they serve God and humanity.

Conversely, a part of the throng of angels had fallen, now known as demons (with Satan being their leader), and they now go about maliciously carrying out his deeds, but only by God’s ordination.

So, whatever UFOs (or UAP—Unidentified Aerial Phenomena) are, they belong to God’s created order, whether created by God or secondarily created by human beings, and they make for extraordinary company in the universe.

There are no other creatures that God created, aside from a few in heaven, as recorded in Revelation, Chapter 4, and their main purpose is to worship and adore God “day and night” without cessation, proclaiming, “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!” (Rev 4:9).

Hence, no one on earth, much less throughout the universe, will ever see them, as their location is fixed and they seem quite content in their fixation.

One other detail needs to be kept in mind regarding creation, which is the taint of sin that has effected every created being, with the exception of holy angels who look on with curiosity concerning the gospel message being proclaimed among humanity for its redemption (1 Pet 1:12).

That because of the fall of mankind into sin, as recorded in the Book of Genesis, creation was subjected to the same fall, whereby it now “groans” for the completion of the adoption of the sons of God (Rom 8:19-ff. cf Gen 3:7).

The created order, in others words, was subjected to the same “futility” as the human race, when Adam chose to rebel against God “In the beginning.”

Because of the rebellious act of Adam, corruption and decay spread throughout the universe, which is something that is rarely considered when or if the subject of UFOs, creation, or even sin are ever discussed, even among many Christians.

And yet it is because of Adam’s rebellion that animals, trees, birds, stars, including our own sun, experience eventual decline and death.

The only way for a creature to escape the effects of human sin is to either (1) be a holy angel, (2) be a demon, (3) not yet exist, (4) already reside in heaven or hell, (5) be from a extra-dimensional plane of existence unrelated to the current created order.

Only the fifth option could possibly apply to extra-terrestrials, which begs the question: How intelligent would a creature have be to interact in an order or society where the effects of sin and death were a certainty?

“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Rom 3:23).

We know from the Bible that the only hope for the forgiveness and redemption from sin is the atoning death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, which is what the Gospel is all about (1 Cor 15:3-ff).

“[God] has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins,” (Col 1:13-14), wrote the Apostle Paul.

Such an individual would be committing eternal suicide to involve oneself in such an order or society.

Committing eternal suicide would be indicative of someone or something that is irrational, not intelligent.

Moreover, an irrational extra-terrestrial could hardly supply the necessary and superlative plan of salvation that humanity needs to hear in order for it to solve its multifaceted problems—whether spiritual, economic, humanitarian, ethical, moral, etc.—that it faces everyday by first rejecting the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

In fact, anyone who has ever sat and listened, or carefully read, anything that any of ramblings or writings of those involved in UFO “evangelism” have produced, one will quickly note how far removed their messages are from the one that Jesus and his apostles taught, preached, and are recorded in the Bible.

Jesus is not their focus of attention, which means they are preaching “another” gospel (Gal 1:7) or “another Jesus” (2 Cor 11:4) that is totally foreign to the one God proclaimed for the salvation of creation that includes both humans and the created order.

And preaching a gospel that is contrary to the one God has revealed in the Bible is hardly indicative of an intelligent being either, but of someone who is foolish, if not simply accursed.

“But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed” (Gal 1:8 cf 1 Cor 16:22).

So, are extra-terrestrials, much less their exponents, really that intelligent, despite all the wowing they seem to perpetrate upon a willfully gullible human population only too anxious to accept them with open arms?

If chaos, self-destruction, and death are the end-game, then yes, they are very intelligent.

Otherwise, they are not the sharpest instruments in the universe, and those placing their hope and eternal welfare into their spindly little hands are even less so.
